What makes Drama Llamas unique #5
Today is the first lesson for our Coulsdon School. I have exactly ten minutes until it starts.
To celebrate the start, let me present to you (drum roll please) the fifth and final, unique thing about our classes.
Cue trumpet fanfare.
Our stage and the radio show.
Ok, the observant amongst you will have noticed that is two unique things.
The Stage
Where we hold our Coulsdon classes, there is a stage. I mean there is a big stage. Or should that be ‘biiiiiiiiig’ stage? It’s a proper stage. Not only does that give us a proper stage for our end of term showings (to parents) – but we get to utilise the stage in class week in and week out.
Regularly working from a ‘biiiiiiiiig’ stage will help the children work on their projection, clarity and stage craft. It will also boost and bolster their confidence and their sense of achievement. I mean, if they can act on a real stage, standing up, in front of their fellow classmates, at school to read will seem inconsequential.
The Radio Show
For the 2024 Autum Term, the children will all work on a Christmas Radio Show. They will devise and act out their story, they will write and sing the songs, they probably won’t choreograph or perform any dance numbers. As movement doesn’t come across very well on the radio.
This Drama Llamas devised production will go out on the weekly radio show Jay presents. His show, along with the repeat, and those listening live online, has up to ½ million listeners. The show, after being broadcast, will be forever available on catch up. So, even if a faraway relative can’t tune in to hear the show, they will still be able to listen, in the comfort of their own home, whenever they like.
The list of five unique things about our classes:
2. Legacy Llamas (children who join Drama Llamas in our first year) will always pay the lowest price
3. Our price. Compared to all our competitors, our lessons are the best value
4. Our teachers are current working professionals and teach at top accredited drama schools
5. Our big stage and the children putting on a radio show to half a million people

Ok, I now have less than 60 seconds until our first lesson starts.
Let’s go.
